Plate 155:  Building a locomotive service yard, Part 21:  provision for a three-spur yard
(This plate added OCT 2003)

This is a view of the roadbed for the locomotive service yard showing that provision has been made for the installation of two point motors. Two points (American usage: "switches") will create three spurs. When it is decided to expand the yard from two to three spurs, a second right-hand point and a point motor will be installed at the spot marked by a rectangle at the right of the picture. See Plate 153 for details about the 25 mm by 40 mm rectangles.
