Plate 225:  Wiring the point motors through the distribution center, Part 3: three levers and seven wires

This view is similar to Plate 224, except that a brown "return" wire has been plugged into the brass socket at one end of the switch-bank. This single brown wire is the only one required for all the point motors in the layout, no matter how many motors are installed. This is because the connection provided by the single brown wire is "propagated" down the switch-bank by a series of little brass plugs and sockets, not visible in this picture. See Plate 166 for a diagram of the point-motor wiring scheme.
