Plate 217:  Preparing for construction of a power distribution center, Part 3: home location, east face

This view is similar to Plate 216, but we are looking at the east face of the layout. From this viewpoint, we can see that the terminal blocks are not "jammed together" - they are spaced slightly apart from each other. This is because we must leave room to "channel" the wires that attach to each side of each block.

When two terminal blocks are aligned alongside each other, there must be room for twenty wires (10 wires from each block) to lie in the channel between the two blocks. This will become more evident in our pictures as wiring progresses.
