Plate 228:  Wiring the point motors through the distribution center, Part 6: lever-bank wires attached and trimmed
(This plate added NOV 2003)

We are again looking at the lever "bank" that we saw in Plate 225. The six red and green wires that were bundled up in Plate 255 have now been plugged into the three lever switches. We have cut off the plugs from the free ends of the wires, leaving only "stripped" wire where the plugs used to be.

Plate 106 shows that the red and green wires came from the factory with a plug at each end. Why have we cut off the plugs from the free ends? This question is best answered by moving along through this series of plates; the reason will soon become clear.
