Plate 202:  Installing a surface-mounted point motor with an extension arm, Part 17
(This plate added NOV 2003)

The point motor we saw in the "tabs up" position in Plate 201 has been pushed down into the the R8015 baseplate.

Caution! There are five places in the R8015 baseplate that must be engaged by the point motor. The four mounting tabs of the motor fit into four corresponding slots in the baseplate. Also, the vertical rod that is attached to the solenoid plunger must fit into the socket in the baseplate's sliding arm. Examine Plate 201  to see the four mounting slots and the socket in the baseplate.
