Plate 203:  Installing a surface-mounted point motor with an extension arm, Part 18
(This plate added NOV 2003)

In this view we can compare the installation methods of the two Hornby R8014 Mark 2 point motors that have now been surface-mounted in the layout. The motor at the upper level has been mounted on the straight side of a standard point, while the motor at the embankment level has been mounted on the curved side of a point. The embankment-level motor uses an extension arm, while the upper-level motor does not.
