Plate 188:  Installing a surface-mounted point motor with an extension arm, Part 3
(This plate added NOV 2003)

In this picture, the two Hornby parts needed for completing a surface-mount of a point motor are displayed in their packaging. At the left is an R8015 Point Motor Housing. At the right is an R8014 Mark 2 Point Motor.

If you look closely at the package containing the point motor housing, you can see a thin a black bar near the bottom. This is the baseplate extension arm which we will use in this particular installation. The kit for surface mounting also includes a 00-scale trackside hut.
