Plate 189:  Installing a surface-mounted point motor with an extension arm, Part 4
(This plate added NOV 2003)

The accompanying picture shows the baseplate of an R8015 point-motor housing connected through a sliding arm to the service-yard point. The point, at the bottom of the picture, is mostly obscured by the roof of a "Flying Scotsman" coach.

The point is in the "straight through" position, thereby guiding the coach onto the straight track. It is evident that the side of the coach is a safe distance away from the baseplate housing.
