Plate 163:  Building a locomotive service yard, Part 29:  fastening a Hornby R8014 Mark 2 point motor to a point
(This plate added OCT 2003)

After the four mounting tabs have been inserted into the slots in the long sleepers (Plate 161), all four tabs must then be rotated slightly to prevent the point motor from slipping off the point due to its own weight.

Caution!

Apply only a small torque (twisting force) to rotate the tabs, and do not rotate the tabs more than a few degrees. A small rotation of the tabs, applied slowly, will suffice to hold the point motor in place.
