Plate 158:  Building a locomotive service yard, Part 24: track has been laid over the two point-motor cut-outs
(This plate added OCT 2003)

The track assembly for the service yard has been loosely laid over the point-motor cut-outs to confirm the accuracy of their positions. The sliding arm of the yard point is exactly and correctly centered over the cut-out on the left. The position of the curved track section on the right, which is a substitute for a future point, appears to confirm that the cut-out on the right is also in the correct position to accept a point motor.
