Plate 136:  Building a locomotive service yard, Part 2: laying out the spur tracks
(This plate added OCT 2003)

This is a view of the new locomotive service yard. The rough-cut piece of plywood, which will become the roadbed for the yard, now supports three spur tracks at the embankment level as specified by the schematic diagram seen in Plate 129. The three spurs are created by two Hornby R8073 right-hand standard points (switches), both of which were included in the order displayed in Plate 135.

For an earlier view of this yard, when it possessed only a single spur, see Plate 125.
