Plate 236:  Wiring the point motors through the distribution center, Part 14: we connect the common wire to the end of the bus
(This plate added NOV 2003)

A black wire that was packaged with one of our Hornby R044 Passing Contact Lever Switches has been connected to column 10 of the power bus. Every R044 is packaged with three wires: red, green and black.

Black wires correspond to the common circuits for Mark 2 double-solenoid point motors. However, because we are connecting all the common circuits from different point motors into power buses, we require only one black wire for all the point motors in the entire layout. This is not true for the red and green wires, which are individually plugged into R044 lever switches (see Plate 229).
