Plate 125:  Trial-fitting the roadbed for a proposed locomotive service yard, Part 3
(This plate added OCT 2003)

In this view, looking west, we see the entire large section of scrap plywood that serves as a temporary roadbed for the proposed locomotive service yard. A single spur track, a precursor of the service yard, has been loosely laid upon the plywood. The "Flying Scotsman" locomotive is about to begin running-trials to test the practicality of operations between the location of the proposed service yard and the rest of the layout.

The small structure in the foreground is a 00-scale trackside hut that is provided with the Hornby point motor housing kit.
