Plate 62:  View looking north at ballasted track
(This plate added SEP 2003)

Similar to Plate 61. The light color of the track ballast is partly due to the high reflectivity of the wet glue mixture, and partly due to the opaque whiteness of the mixture before it dries. After drying, the glue mixture becomes transparent.
