Plate 147:  Building a locomotive service yard, Part 13:  the "stable" of locomotives
(This plate added OCT 2003)

This head-on view shows the "Flying Scotsman" and the "Pug" posing on the two spur tracks of the new service yard.

The tracks are loosely laid upon plywood roadbed, and no preparation for wiring the spur point's motor has yet been made. The spur point cannot be seen in this photo; it lies in the close foreground, roughly at the position of the camera which took this picture.
