Plate 145:  Building a locomotive service yard, Part 11:  hydraulic buffer stops - the real thing portrayed

This is a picture of actual hydraulic buffer stops, from the same set of cigarette cards shown in Plate 142. As the next plate (Plate 146) explains, these hydraulic buffer stops were installed at Waterloo Station in London, England.
