Plate 128:  Adding a souvenir mug to the collection, Part 14: a design for the Silver Jubilee presentation box
(This plate added SEP 2004)

The accompanying picture is a computer-scanned image of a tinted drawing. The drawing represents a design for a seven-inch by ten-inch presentation box for the 1977 Silver Jubilee mug (see Plate 116).

The mug would fit into the deep recess in the center of the box, while two decorative plaques, each embellished with an heraldic supporter (see Plate 126), would fit into shallow recesses to the left and right of the mug.

The box in the illustration has been tinted blue, because the Collector has decided that all boxes in the collection will be covered in blue paper (see Plate 104).
