Plate 125:  Adding a souvenir mug to the collection, Part 11: the supporters, now colored, are displayed behind the mug
(This plate added SEP 2004)

Here we see the watercolor-tinted photocopy of the lion rampant guardant and the unicorn rampant displayed behind the mug from which the two supporters were copied.

As much as possible, the colors of the supporters on the mug were duplicated in the watercolor tints. Observe that the cloth cap which lines St. Edward's Crown (crowning the lion) is a bright red instead of dark purple (the actual color used was "Winsor Red"). Red was selected in deference to the artwork on the mug, which employed red, not purple, for the lining of the crown.
