Plate 108:  Creating boxes for unboxed items, Part 21: we construct the box-cover
(This plate added AUG 2004)

In this photo, we see the newly-constructed cover for our box. The box cover is only 1/2-inch deep, so that the bottom of the one-inch deep box can be comfortably gripped in one hand while the cover is removed by the other hand.

To allow for a snug fit when closed, the cover is 1/8-inch longer and wider than the box.
