N this view, the 3/8-inch furring used as reinforcement for the baseboard is visible below the edge of the baseboard.
The baseboard is joined to the 3/8-inch furring by drywall screws. Protruding from the furring is a 110-volt power strip, which provides AC power to the layout. SUBJECT: baseboard furring with AC power strip
