Plate 97:  Pulling away from an uncoupled car
(This plate added OCT 2003)

In this view, the "Flying Scotsman" pulls away to the left, leaving the uncoupled section of the train on the right.

Observe that the coupling hook of the stationary car on the right is slightly elevated, due to the continuous upward pressure of the spring-loaded uncoupling ramp.
