Plate 267:  Concept-3, Part 2: we do not reproduce all the track in the layout
(This plate added NOV 2003)

Concept-3 will not, at first, represent the entire track diagram shown in Plate 263. It would serve no immediate purpose to reproduce (in one-twelfth scale) all of the track in that diagram at this time, because a large part of that track has already been immutably installed in the layout.

The principal purpose of Concept-3 is to assist in the visualization of proposed track. Therefore, the builder intends to commence construction of Concept-3 by modeling, in one-twelfth scale, the tracks that have not yet been installed. These proposed tracks (all at the embankment level) are plainly marked in pink, green and dotted red in the color-coded diagram (Plate 263). The builder can consult the original version of this color-coded diagram at any time, because it is safely filed in a big indexed scrapbook (shown in the accompanying photo).
