Plate 21:  Construction of a black setting for small displays, Part 9: the left wall has been glued to the foundation
(This plate added FEB 2004)

HE left wall of the setting (seen at the back of the picture) has now been glued to the vertical left side of the foundation.
The left wall is 24 inches high and 24 inches deep, as originally planned in the dimensioned sketch shown in Plate 15.

Therefore, the left wall projects eight inches past the 16-inch-deep floor. The projecting left wall is not an obstacle, however, because the wall, unlike the floor, does not obstruct the photographer's tripod.
