Plate 2:  The small-display location with all the everday articles removed
(This plate added FEB 2004)

N order to prepare for photography of a small display, the everyday articles must be temporarily removed from the cabinet-top (see Plate 1 for the everyday appearance of this location). In the accompanying photo, the cabinet-top, which is near a window, is seen in daylight. Additional lighting for this corner is normally provided by a 60-watt incandescent bulb in a wall fixture.
As seen here, the cabinet-top is illuminated from the right by daylight, and from above by the 60-watt bulb fixture. SUBJECT: location for small displays with surface cleared
